Under the umbrella of Dar Al-Fatwa in the Lebanese Republic
Rashaya Endowments Directorate
Safeguarding the trust, growing generosity, and building lasting impact across Rashaya’s villages.
Who we are
The Rashaya Endowments Directorate was established by resolution of the Higher Islamic Sharia Council. It operates under Dar Al-Fatwa in Rashaya District, under the patronage of the Grand Mufti of the Lebanese Republic, Sheikh Dr Abdullatif Derian, with the direct guidance of the Mufti of Rashaya, Professor Dr Sheikh Wafik Hijazi, and under the administration of Sheikh Dr Hussein Kassem Ahmad.
The Directorate oversees mosques, imams, muezzins, Quran and Sunnah memorisation centres, religious education in schools, educational programmes and community activities. It also develops and invests endowment properties to advance sustainability, self-sufficiency and public benefit.
The Directorate advances an institutional approach grounded in transparency, integration and partnership with local communities, safeguarding the endowment trust and turning it into lasting public benefit.
We believe that the endowment is a strategic instrument for shaping the future—moving from asking to giving, enabling the community and creating lasting impact.
Our scope
The Directorate manages religious, educational and endowment programmes that serve the community and strengthen its spiritual, civic and developmental mission through an institutional approach.
Caring for mosque affairs and needs, and supporting imams, muezzins and staff so each mosque can fulfil its role in worship, education, guidance and community reform.
Developing learning centres that connect young generations with the Quran and the Prophetic Sunnah while nurturing faith, character and knowledge.
Supporting balanced religious education that combines sound Islamic understanding with knowledge, personal development and responsible conduct.
Safe and engaging programmes for young people that bring together purposeful recreation, faith, character and practical learning.
Managing and developing endowment assets to achieve financial sustainability and fund the Directorate’s religious, educational and community services.
Supervising and maintaining cemetery facilities in a manner that preserves their sanctity and serves local families with dignity.
Villages, mosques and centres
The Directorate serves Sunni Muslim communities across a network of Rashaya villages through faith, education, community development and sustainable endowment investment.
Our work supports a cohesive community, a united country and a shared future for the generations to come.
Our operating model
Our connected systems bring together religious stewardship, human development, endowment growth and meaningful community service.
Supporting mosques, imams and muezzins, and organising lessons and programmes that advance a balanced Islamic understanding and responsible citizenship.
