Profile overview
Sheikh Dr Hussein Kassem Ahmad serves as President of the Rashaya Endowments Directorate. He oversees its endowment, religious, educational and development work in coordination with the relevant authorities and teams. His responsibilities focus on safeguarding the endowment trust, strengthening institutional practice and expanding the Directorate’s impact across the towns and villages of Rashaya District.
Academic qualifications
- Religious Secondary Certificate from Azhar of Lebanon, as well as a civil secondary certificate.
- PhD in educational supervision of Islamic education.
- Training of Trainers (TOT) certificate from the international OTID organization, where he is an accredited trainer.
Published works
Encyclopedia for the Advancement of Islamic Education in Schools: Lebanese Public Schools as a Model. This six-volume, 2,074-page work presents a comprehensive approach to developing Islamic education in schools. It includes a foreword by the Grand Mufti of the Lebanese Republic, Dr Abdul Latif Derian, and was approved as a reference for schools in Lebanon.
The Comprehensive Encyclopedia for Developing Islamic Education in Schools, Institutes, Sharia Colleges and Islamic Centres Abroad. The Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs in Qatar reviewed the work, awarded it honours with a recommendation for publication, printed and distributed thousands of copies, and adopted it as a reference for schools, colleges and Sharia institutes. It comprises five volumes and 1,930 pages:

- The State of Educational Supervision of Islamic Education and a Plan for Its Advancement.
- Islamic Education Curriculum Framework.
- Guidance Manual for Islamic Education Teachers.
- Proposed Administrative and Supervisory Development Strategy for the Religious Education Authority.
Unpublished works
- A proposed curriculum matrix for integrating educational subjects into university-level Sharia studies, conceived as a specialized educational diploma for Sharia college students and planned in two volumes of approximately 750 pages.

- Acting President of the Endowments Directorate in Rashaya, 2024.
- Member of the Administrative Council of Islamic Endowments in the Bekaa, 2006–2014.
- Member of the Board of Trustees of Azhar Al-Bekaa, 2000–2018.
- Former Assistant Dean of the Faculty of Education at Tripoli University, Lebanon.
- Supervisor of the training programme for Islamic education teachers in Lebanon, 2014–2017.
- Founder of the Waqf of the Islamic Religious Education Authority in Lebanon.
- Founder of Al-Rawafid School, recorded as 1990/1992.
- Founder of Al-Farouq Mosque.
Business activities
He founded and managed several businesses and commercial institutions, most notably Dar Al-Tarbiyah Al-Hadifah for Printing, Publishing and Distribution in Beirut. The company specializes in printing the Holy Qur’an and is authorized by Dar Al-Fatwa in Lebanon. It has produced translations of the meanings of the Qur’an in English, French and Spanish; hundreds of thousands of copies have been printed and distributed across 24 countries.
His business activities also include the Salah Al-Din Residential Complex, subdivided over an area of 241,000 square metres, and the Al-Wisam tourist swimming-pool complex, conceived as a purposeful educational and recreational project.
